Wrightsville Beach in North Carolina has an excellent 2.5 mile athletic loop. That gives anybody the option of doing as many or as few miles as they feel comfortable with. If youre not sure you want to do a twenty mile skate, then come do some laps at the beach. During the off-season when the tourists are away, we have the place pretty much to ourselves in the evenings. We skate the loop very often and meet at the parking lot at the end of Bob Sawyer Drive. That is the road next to the soccer fields about a mile past the drawbridge. Take a left just past the police station
